This is the very first time that we see Rainbow Dash's parents in the series! I too wonder what has taken so, so long... perhaps, they have very important jobs... or maybe the writers just didn't really think too much about it at the time. I for one am very hyped up, and super excited to see what her parents actually are like! We were already give the tip that the stallion that she was standing on in the Flashback in season 3, episode 12, was definitely not one of her parents. If this rainbow colored stallion wasn't a parent... what could her of possibly haven been? Maybe our Dashie has a brother of some sort?
It's time to find out!
So Dashie's parents are actually "something". If I were to pick a favorite out of her two parents... I'm definitely going with Windy Whistles, her mother. I absolutely adore her personality, and her overall appearance. Bow Hot Hoof sure is a good one though too. I could of sworn that he would be the "more serious" type of parent in the family because of his personality. Overall, both ponies are just perfect for our Dashie, and it's sincerely nice to know that they really do share a strong bond between each other. The whole way the episode dealt with Dashie being embarrassed by her parents from cheering her on was quite a downer. To me... it's as if the writers couldn't really think of another way to have her parents shown off at a much more mature form. Aside from that... Bow, and Windy, truly do love their Dashie EXTREMELY much. Their apperance could of been something else, but I really did love the take on this episode, and things did certainly get a twist.
The faves in this episode were just off the charts! Scootaloo starting out in the episode was just PERFECT! Her idea with almost flying to Equestria really worked. This wouldn't be the first time she has flown so, so high on her scooter... she really is one experienced filly on that thing! Once I heard her squeal of excitement and scream... that just really made the "cuteness" meter go up, as well as when she did that adorable tail wag! I didn't expect them to open up the episode with Scoots, but it was pretty awesome that they did! As much as I loved Windy Whistle's apperance, she was also a top favorite in this episode with her cheering. She is just too cute, and embarrassed Dashie just made everything so much cuter.
The ending really had it with the feels too, Dashie came to realize that they raised her to be what she is today. Without that support, I don't think she would of been nearly successful. You just got to understand that your parents are the reason that you live in Equestria, Dashie... without them, you would of never made Equestria 20% cooler.

MLP -- Best Gift Ever Holiday Special Follow-up
Hearthswarming may be quite a ways away, but lets all be happy that this special is much closer to that very date! I remember hearing about this special earlier in the year, and there wasn't really much said about it besides that it is a pretty relaxed Hearthswarming special. The synopsis only told us so much, but it seems like everypony is going to be coming together, figuring out the perfect gift to get for this Hearthswarming! One of the best things about these holiday specials is the music that comes with it. MLP SEASON 8 -- Season 8 FINALE Follow-Up
Well, well... the finale came fast, and it was only a matter of time until Cozy Glow was the confirmed villain for this season. At first, I didn't think nothing of her... other than her being too adorable! After seeing many meme's and pointers, things got a lot more obvious and the recent signs of her being evil puts the cherry top top of everything! If there is one thing I like, it's surprises, but unfortunately, with all of the early releases and leaks this year, those surprises are not there. The synopsis of this finale also points it out unfortunately too, but of course... it was only a matter of time until we all figure it out. Noneth
MLP SEASON 8 -- Father Knows Beast Follow-Up
Little to nothing is known about Spike's parents... that is until now. Here's hoping we get to dive deeper into the past of this little dragon that has been with Twilight ever since he first hatched. To me, I feel like Twilight is the overall perfect mother for him, just look at the way she treats him half the time. The motherly instincts we've saw throughout the years between these two is everlasting. I'm really excited and I can't wait to see at least what Spike's possible dad may look like. MLP SEASON 8 -- Sounds of Silence Follow-Up
So the friendship quests are back again. It has been quite a while since our last friendship map calling this season and I'm pretty excited to see just where this location is going to be. Applejack and Fluttershy have solved the most confusing friendship problem a few seasons back and I don't think this friendship problem should be all too hard to solve. Something that I would love to see is more ponies going solo whenever the map calls for help. I sure would love to see just how Fluttershy would handle a friendship problem that is all up to her to solve without anypony else; she has grown a lot over the past several seasons after all. Th
